Green Steel, Practical Progress

The steel industry accounts for roughly 7–9% of global CO₂ emissions each year. That’s the honest number.

But steel is also the backbone of construction, manufacturing, energy, logistics, and everyday life. Steel is part of the problem, and at the same time, an essential part of the solution.

The question is not whether we use steel, but how we choose it, source it, process it, transport it, and use it more responsibly.

We aim to create practical value across the supply chain — clearer sourcing decisions for customers, better coordination with mill partners, and a stronger culture of learning and responsibility within our own team.

Our Sustainability Pillars

01

People & Principles

At MRS, people are at the center of how we build a responsible business. We encourage continuous learning, practical leadership, creative thinking, and an open working environment where team members can share ideas, learn from mistakes, improve the process, and keep moving forward. Our company principles are built around honesty, careful confirmation, and responsible communication. We do not overstate what a product can do. We provide information based on technical facts, reliable documents, and what can be verified with our partners. For us, sustainability also means building a workplace where people can grow with confidence, take responsibility, and contribute to better decisions every day.

02

Environment

For MRS, environmental responsibility begins with reducing avoidable waste. We focus on practical actions that help reduce rework, damage, unnecessary handling, and avoidable replacement across the supply chain.

03

Product, Quality & Partners

Quality is an important part of sustainability. A steel product should be suitable for its real application, not only attractive in price. We work with qualified mills, suppliers, and logistics partners that can support stable quality, clear communication, and reliable delivery. At the same time, we support our mill partners with useful market feedback. This includes customer requirements, application trends, specification preferences, quality expectations, relevant updates on trade policy, sustainability requirements, and market changes. By sharing accurate information in both directions, we help customers and partners work with better preparation and stronger long-term cooperation.

04

Customers, Supply Chain & Transparency

We support customers by making the steel buying process clearer and lower-risk. This includes helping customers define their needs, understand suitable product options, review available documents, and coordinate key supply-chain steps before delivery. Our goal is to make each order more transparent, better prepared, and easier to manage from inquiry to shipment.

What Green Steel Means to Us

Green steel is not just a label. It is a long-term transition across the steel value chain. At MRS, we understand green steel through practical sourcing decisions: where the steel comes from, how it is specified, how long it can perform, what documents can support it, and how it is handled before delivery. More specifically, it means paying attention to:

“Green steel is a journey we are committed
to walking together.”

MRS is committed to being a trusted partner throughout that journey — upholding integrity in every interaction, bringing technical precision to every decision, and remaining fully dedicated to supporting our customers at every stage.
